Sniders Homestead Summer Yearling Tops
2009 Blue Halter Sale
Saturday, April 18, 2009 at the Bedford County Fairgrounds

Sniders Gitgo Gerri, a Summer Yearling consigned by Sniders Homestead Farm in New Enterprise, PA, topped the sale with Connor Parker of Colfax, Iowa placing the winning bid of $8,100. A 2008 Honorable Mention All-American Winter Calf consigned by Addie Frantz was the second high seller. The Indiana Idiots Syndicate purchased White Hall Archies Star for $7,500. The third high seller with a winning bid of $5,600 was Trotacre Hunter Stickey Vic, a 2008 Reserve All-American Spring Calf.

The thirty-eight animals brought a sale average of $2708 for the 2009 Blue Halter Sale managed by the Pennsylvania Guernsey Breeders' Association. Three cows averaged $3,433, Eight bred heifers averaged $2,456 and twenty-seven calves averaged $2,702. Ten embryos averaged $350 each.
