78th Annual Meeting of the PGBA

The PGBA will came together for their 78th Annual Meeting on April 17-18, 2009 at The Arena Restaurant in Bedford, PA. The weekend included a full schedule of activities for members of all ages.

Following reports from the business manager and officers, the members selected officers and directors for the coming year. Members celebrated the past year's accomplishments during the Annual Awards Banquet and the Junior Awards Breakfast. All-Pennsylvania awards and production records were recognized in addition to the youth contest winners. The weekend ended with a spectacular presentation of quality Guernseys at the Blue Halter Sale.

Sarah Weimer of Emlenton, PA was crowned the 2009 Pennsylvania Guernsey Queen. Sarah has completed her freshman year at Penn State University majoring in Animal Science with a Business Management Option. A lifetime member of the PJGBA, Sarah has been actively involved in showing, quiz bowl, public speaking, and leadership roles.
